Miss Bukowski - Kindergarten
This is my third year here at St. Michael’s School. I am honored to be a part of this great community. The staff, students and parents have done an outstanding job at making me feel welcome here. The moment I walked through the doors I felt like I was at home.
I have 6 years of previous teaching experience. I taught second grade for 4 years and this will be my 3rd year teaching kindergarten. Teaching kindergarten is such a rewarding job because of the growth that the students make socially, emotionally as well as academically. I truly love what I do and I am very happy to be working here at St. Michael’s. In addition to teaching, I am currently taking classes through Marygrove College to pursue my Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy. If all goes as planned, I will graduate with my Master’s Degree in May 2019.

"
I am proud to be a teacher at Saint Michael’s School.  It’s wonderful to be able to work in a place that cares about our students and families and provides a quality education that has a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and values.  I love the family atmosphere that we have and that we get to personally know all of our students."

"Life's journey can be so amazing when you go according to God's plan. I knew it was God's plan for me to teach religion to 6th and 7th graders at St. Fabian Catholic School in Farmington Hills. It was also his plan for me to move in with my mom which  ended up being more for my benefit then for hers. After she passed, I asked God what He had planned for me now and He led me straight to St. Michael's Catholic School. It is an honor to be a part of this wonderful, new family."

I love that my colleagues are all dedicated and I can count on them for anything. We are also blessed with a great principal and assistant administrator who put the students and staff first. Coming to work is like coming to spend time with family. I love what I do and enjoy it even more because I am at St. Michael’s School!"

Hello!  I am excited for the 2019-2020 school year.  This is my first year here at St. Michael School.  I am proud to be a part of such a strong, caring school community.  I truly believe we are family.  Last year, I served as a long-term substitute teacher for Mrs. Huovinen (4th grade) and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.  I just knew that I wanted to return the following school year.
While I am not from Pinconning, I am from Omer, and  I grew up attending Standish-Sterling Community Schools and then Michigan State University.  After several years, I finally realized that I could no longer ignore the fact that I am meant to be a teacher.  I had the opportunity to earn my teaching certificate and took it, graduating from Saginaw Valley State University in 2016.  After several years working as a substitute teacher, grades K-12, I now feel at home here at St. Michael School.  Along with teaching middle school science and ELA, I am proud to offer our 8th graders the opportunity to earn high school credit for Spanish.
We are blessed to have such wonderful administration, teachers, students, staff, and families – a true community.  Go Eagles!

"I am thrilled to be able to be a part of Saint Michael's School!  My children attend Saint Michael's and I love the closeness, family involvement, and whole child approach to how this school functions.  Robert Frost said it best by "I am not a teacher, but an awakener."  I am excited to be an awakener and explore the world through Social Studies and mathematics with the students.
Let me share a little bit about myself.  Right out of high school I served in the Navy doing welding and repair work.  I was stationed in Italy, where I was able to travel Europe and develop my love for history.  After serving in the Navy, we moved to Pinconning.   I have attended college during that time, earning a BA in History, minor in Psychology, as well as a Certification to teach.  I have taken many math courses as well and will be earning my math endorsement for my teaching certification.  I was also able to stay at home to care for the five healthy and wonderful children we have been blessed with."

"In the past I taught for three years in the 7th grade classroom, and I taught in the Kindergarten class for three and a half years. I truly feel at home here and I have a passion for this school. I am enjoying this new avenue as Principal working with such dedicated, caring teachers and staff. The students here are filled with a spirit that warms my heart every day. I hope to continue the spiritual, academic, and family-oriented traditions that make St. Michael’s School such a special place! I strive to keep this school a faith-filled, caring, academic-driven place where kids want to come everyday."
